Films in the Desert

Back from California where screenwriter Mike Brody and I screened Table 47 at the Borrego Springs Film Festival.  We enjoyed the beautiful desert setting about 80 miles northeast of San Diego.

Table 47 sold out the 180 seat Performing Arts Center.  A good mystery should hold the audience and they were into it.  Not a whisper.  Having seen the film many times, I found myself watching the audience reaction.  We got gasps in the key spots. We got laughs at the funny lines, so score a few for us!

The applause at the end was heartfelt.

We had a lot of positive response from film goers as they left the theater.

We didn’t win an award, but actually, we did win big.  The experience was fantastic.  The Festival organizers and volunteers shared the passion that all of the filmmakers put into their work.  We met talented writers, directors and actors.  We saw some amazing films.

We come home looking forward to more festival experiences and with renewed enthusiasm for our craft and the projects to come!
